Choosing to become a homestay is a rewarding and fulfilling experience. It’s an opportunity to share culture and knowledge, provide care and possibly support the local economy, as international students make a significant contribution to cities like Kent, Manchester, Edinburgh and London.

Opening your home to an international student is more than just meeting their basic needs of a bed and a place to study. Over the years we’ve had homestays travel thousands of miles to be part of wedding celebrations and witnessed enduring friendships, with both students and their families staying in regular contact with homestays long after their studies have finished.

From exchanging and improving English and foreign language skills, to learning new social etiquettes and practices, the wealth of intercultural opportunities of being a homestay is deep and plentiful. Our homestays are financially compensated when they host a student, the cost of which depends on the student hosted.

WHAT’S INVOLVED IN BEING A HOMESTAY?

Our students are looking for families who can offer a safe, peaceful environment, many of homestays are those with rooms to spare after their own children have grown up and gone to explore their own lives, or those with similarly aged children, with whom our students can share enriching experiences.
